I was just wondering if you can put fireworks in your BAGGAGE, the bags that you don’t fly with, but you pick up at the airport you land at (baggage claim). they dont go through security, and they aren’t brought on the plane as carry-ons.

We have to buy a new luggage set every time we travel somewhere. Our old ones have holes, the zippers don’t work, the handle’s busted, wheels are missing, the straps are seperated… basically, the luggage is beat up beyond repair. Why is that?

You can’t get on an airplane with a snow globe in your carry on. Why does it have to be on the carry on? Well, read above. Anyway, it can go through so many X-Rays that it glows green, but it can’t go in your luggage. I had to have it shipped.

The security takes waaaaay too long. Take off your shoes, jacket, socks, hair, leg, and brain before proceeding through the metal detector. BEEP! Whoops. Looks like the iron in your blood set it off. Please sit and wait while we drain your blood and check it for harmful substances.

It’s too much. What’s your airport hell story?

We just called JetStar today and the lady said that you are given 20kg free (plus 10kg carry-on) and then limited to paying extra for another 20kg. Problem here is that we’re relocating to Japan and have more than just a total 50kg in luggage to take. (We have also looked into shipping companies but as we have snowboards and one guitar it’s very costly shipping those through a separate company.) We told the lady that we were given an allowance from the company we are going to work for of $900 AUD so money isn’t an issue that we’d like to pay and take on more with us. She said no, it’s not allowed the most you can check is 50kg even if you are willing and able to pay for more. We found it strange hearing an airline refuse to take more money from us! We do understand that maybe it’s a space issue but since we can’t find this stipulated on the website we’re curious if anyone else has any info on this!
