When you receive all of your cruise tickets & plane tickets there will be tags you fill out & put on your luggage. You check it at the airport and once you reach your final destination you get your luggage & there will be someone from the cruise line where you check in with & leave your luggage with. It is trucked to the ship and will arrive in your cabin usually anywhere between 2 to 7 hours after you sail.
When you are coming home they will provide you with tags & you set your luggage out the night before your cruise ends & you pick it up after you depart the ship. Depending on how you are getting to the airport if by bus(provided by cruise line) you will need to pick it up once at the airport & check it in.
    Anyways Enjoy your cruise.

When you get to the docks, you’ll apply the tags that the ship has supplied and you’ll hand the luggage over to a porter.

They take the bags and then deliver them to the hallway outside your room. If they check through them, you are not present.

When you disembark, it’s the same basic procedure. You leave the bags outside your room and the ship collects them to go through customs. Customs agents then go through your bags. You pick them up and then speak to one last customs agent. Then, you are free and clear.
