Ticket prices are so inconsistent, could you offer a time frame as to when you want to send her? Different months, weeks, days, all factor in as to what the price of the ticket will be.

So let’s say she was leaving the 12th of February, and she stayed in Sydney for three weeks, the price of her ticket may be less than $1000 for her.

I wasn’t sure if she was traveling alone or not, so here are some things to consider for minors traveling by themselves—

“Here are some rules of thumb about unaccompanied minors:

    * Please be sure to check with your airline for specific policies and fees.
    * Minors who are old enough (approximately ages 5-17*) can usually fly on nonstop, direct, or connecting flights, but usually are not accepted on the last connecting flight of the day. The age depends on the airline’s policies, so please check with the airline.
    * Many airlines provide (or require) supervision service for minors from the time of boarding until the time the minor is met at the final destination. This is called unaccompanied minor service. Minors must be approved by the airline for this service.
    * Younger children (typically under the age of 5) are often not eligible for unaccompanied minor service and must be accompanied on the same flight and in the same compartment by an older passenger (typically 15 years or older).
    * Unaccompanied minor service is often mandatory for children ages 5-14*, but optional for teenagers (ages 15-17). Age requirements depend on which airline they fly.
    * A fee is usually charged at check-in for unaccompanied minor service. Expect to pay $30 or more each way.
    * With unaccompanied minor service, the airline will usually want to know who is meeting the minor at the destination. Proof of identification for the receiving adult is often required. Forgetting this required identification can cause unpleasant delays so make sure you know the airline’s expectations.
    * Reservations usually need to be confirmed for all segments of the minor’s flight. Standby reservations are not allowed on any leg of the trip.
    * Again, please call the airline prior to purchasing tickets and inquire about unaccompanied minors.”

Like I said, airline ticket prices are very inconsistent. If there’s not a specific time you would like to send her, play around on expedia.com (or some other travel site) with different combinations, airports, dates, because they all may have drastic effects on the ticket prices.

For example, I was looking into a trip to Europe, ticket prices went up significantly leaving in the summer-which makes sense. They also varied hundreds of dollars depending on what city I landed in. Landing in Vienna, Austria was $400 more than landing in Bratislava, Slovakia! and they’re so close to one another. I have also found that Monday/Tuesday’s tend to be a bit cheaper than the rest of the week.

You would have to pay full price for her ticket, and the luggage has to be under so many inches in diameter and way no more than 50 LBS ( I think). I bet you would pay around $1000 – $1500 round trip, a Great site to visit is kayak.com, it is a search engine that finds the lowest deals, But don’t forget that there will be fees for a passport unless she already has one. contact a travel agent to let you know exactly what you need and what will be required, also because of the time difference ( almost 24 hours different) I would definitely recommend contacting a travel agent, when you are traveling sch a long way and in a different country you want to have all of your questions answered, also it doesn’t cost You anything to use a travel agent, they are paid by commission directly from the travel industry.
